What’s the difference between the Universal prompt and the Midjourney prompt?
Every prompt on Illus8AI comes in two versions. The Universal prompt is written in plain language for ChatGPT, Gemini, and similar tools. The Midjourney version is formatted with the parameters Midjourney expects (aspect ratio, style flags, and so on). Use whichever matches the tool you’re generating in.
Can I use Illus8AI on mobile?
Yes. The site works on phones and tablets. Browse, filter, and tap Copy Prompt, then switch to your AI tool of choice and paste it in.

How do I use a prompt?
- Click any prompt that catches your eye
- On the prompt page, click Copy Prompt (or the Midjourney-formatted version, if that’s your tool)
- Paste it into ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney, or another AI image tool and generate
The copy button isn’t working
Try these quick fixes:
- Disable your ad-blocker or tracker blocker, these sometimes interfere with the copy function
- On iOS Safari specifically, make sure you’re tapping directly on the button rather than long-pressing the text
- Use a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge work best)
- Clear your browser cache and try again

What is the generation prompt?
Every prompt on Illus8AI is the actual text used to generate that style of illustration, or a close version of it. It’s not a bonus extra, it’s the core thing you’re here for. You’ll find the Universal and Midjourney versions clearly labeled on each prompt page.
What can I do with the prompt?
Use it as a starting point to create your own version. Paste it into ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney, or another AI image tool and generate. Then modify it, change the color, subject, or mood, to better fit your project. It’s yours to shape.
Will I get exactly the same illustration?
Not necessarily. AI tools produce different results depending on the model, version, and randomness involved. The prompt gives you a strong, tested starting point and a consistent style direction, but your output will be its own unique image.
Can I use the prompt in any AI tool?
Yes, though results vary by tool. That’s exactly why every prompt includes both a Universal version and a Midjourney-formatted version, so you’re not stuck adapting syntax yourself. For other tools, the Universal version is a solid, tool-agnostic starting point.
From Prompt to Finished Asset
Can I get my illustration as an SVG file?
Illus8AI doesn’t host downloadable SVG files directly anymore, prompts generate an image, not a file. But most prompt pages link to a vector conversion tool that turns your generated image into a clean, scalable SVG in a couple of clicks.
Can I turn my illustration into a 3D model, or upscale it for print?
Yes. Where relevant, prompt pages link to trusted tools for 3D conversion and for high-resolution upscaling, so you can take your generated image further without hunting around for the right tool yourself.
Are these your own tools?
No. These are linked third-party tools, and a few of the links are affiliate partnerships, clearly marked wherever they appear. Using them costs you nothing extra, and it’s one of the ways this site stays free to run.

How can I find specific prompts?
Illus8AI is organized around Collections, groups like Poster Art, Cyberpunk, Vector & Sticker, and Character Design, so you can go straight to a visual direction. Inside a collection, individual prompts carry their own Tags for finer detail, and you can filter by which AI tool a prompt is formatted for.
How often do you add new content?
We add new prompts regularly. Check back often, or bookmark your favorite collection to catch new additions.

License & Usage
What license do the prompts use?
Do I need to credit Illus8AI?
Prompts on Illus8AI are free to use, no attribution required, no license fee, no restrictions on personal or commercial use.
No, it’s never required. If you post something you made with a prompt somewhere public, a mention like “prompt from illus8ai.com” is genuinely appreciated, it helps more people find the library, but you’re not obligated to include it.
Who owns the image I generate?
You do, in the sense that you generated it. That said, how you can use the finished image also depends on the terms of the AI tool you used, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Midjourney, since they’re the ones actually producing the file. For most everyday use, personal projects, client work, social posts, that’s rarely an issue, but it’s worth knowing the prompt’s license and the image’s terms aren’t necessarily the same thing.
Can I sell products made with Illus8AI prompts?
Yes. Since the generated image is yours, you can use it in things you sell, websites, templates, printed products, as long as that stays within the terms of whichever AI tool you generated it with.
Can I use the prompts to train AI models?
You can use individual prompts for personal experiments. Bulk scraping the site to build a competing dataset or service is prohibited under our Terms of Service.
Ads & Privacy
Why are there ads?
Ads, via Google AdSense, keep everything 100% free and let us keep adding new prompts. They cover server and running costs so we never have to charge users.
Can I use an ad-blocker?
That’s your choice, though we’d appreciate it if you whitelist Illus8AI to support the site. Some ad-blockers can occasionally interfere with the copy button, worth knowing if it acts up.
Is my privacy protected?

Do you track prompt copies or views?
We track copy and view counts per prompt, to surface what’s popular, but we don’t track who copied or viewed what. That data is anonymous.
